A well designed, efficient sprinkler system can actually save you water. An automatic sprinkler system is more efficient because it’s designed based on your landscape’s diverse watering needs, using specific products designed to water grass, trees, shrubs or plants.

Timer-based early morning watering results in less evaporation and loss to wind, and a properly designed sprinkler system provides even water distribution across your entire lawn. Your sprinkler system will also save you valuable time by doing all the watering for you – even when you are away from home!

Back flow Testing with Delta Pest Control & Lawn Service

Backflow issues are no fun. Backflow is the unintended flow of polluted, untreated or contaminated water in the reverse direction. This problem can occur in the plumbing of your home or business and can also ensure via domestic water supplies. The term backflow is referring to an end users water being flushed back into the water distribution system. There are two types of backflow to be aware of. – back siphonage and back-pressure.

Back-siphonage – This type of backflow occurs when there is a drop in pressure upstream. For example, this drop in pressure could be caused by fireman opening a hydrant.

Back Pressure – This type of backflow is the opposite of back- siphonage. It is when there is a drop in pressure towards the end user.

When it comes to backflow issues, Delta Pest Control & Lawn Service recommends that you incorporate a backflow preventer into your plumbing system. If installed properly these special control valves will prevent both type of back flow from affecting your drinking water. There are 4 types of preventers:

  • Reduced pressure assembly
  • Pressure vacuum breaker
  • Spill resistant vacuum breaker
  • Double check valve assembly

All backflow devices require annual testing and certification. Delta Pest Control & Lawn Service will recommend and install the proper preventer for your particular backflow issue. For more information about our how backflow service, please give us a call. We are more than happy to answer any questions that you might have!
